The market for beautifully crafted supercars are hardly undersubscribed, but for the last ten years one vehicle has attracted celebrity petrol heads like no other: the Bugatti Veyron. It has rightly earned the acknowledgement of ‘Car of the Decade’ by the British motor magazine show Top Gear. In line with the Bugatti car top speed of 254 mph, it has set the pulses racing that high ever since its production in 2005.

It was named after 1939 24 Hours of Le Mans winner, Pierre Veyron. He partnered the tragic Jean-Pierre Wimille to victory at the annual motor endurance event.

After ruling the world for over a decade, Veyron is about to roar off into the sunset. There are only 20 units left after which Bugatti will introduce its replacement, which is expected in 2016. The Alsatian marque is already working big time on three different versions and the world is waiting impatiently to see what the final design comes out like.

The expectations are high and whether the manufacturer delivers on it or not is to be seen.
